Accord has implemented a series of environmental upgrades and it has gained ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 for its Matoda formulation and API manufacturing site.
The implementation of these corrective actions and continuous improvement of environmental performance is run by a dedicated department integrated by 5 professional staff, led by a Senior Chemical Engineer (certified as lead assessor by Bureau VERITAS for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) with enormous experience and a large trajectory in EMS & OHSAS.
The approach Accord has taken is founded on a delineated environmental policy and comprehensive objectives and targets.
Such policy, objectives and targets engage all corporation employees, at all levels, transmitting a ‘responsibility’ attitude towards all the environmental initiatives conducted, providing the appropriate training and communication.
Systematic monitoring and measuring environmental performance ensures continuous improvement, fulfilling then the environmental policy and objectives established.
